BEIJING, Jan. 2 (Xinhua) -- Qingdao Eagles center Yang Hansen was again awarded the Rising Star of the Month of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Thursday, pocketing the award for the second consecutive month since the opening of the 2024-25 season.

Between the 11th and 24th round of the regular season, Yang averaged 16.6 points, 9.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.8 blocks in 31.9 minutes of playing time per game, helping Qingdao win nine of the 14 matches. The 19-year-old shot 58.9% from the floor and 50.0% on 3-pointers down the stretch.

Qingdao currently ranks eighth in the 20-team CBA standings with a 16-9 record. ■
